Présentation

UESTC is China's dedicated electronics and information technology university, and the single best place in the country to study electronic engineering, communications, integrated circuit design and computer science.

It has unusually strong industry links: Huawei, ZTE, Tencent and Chinese semiconductor firms recruit heavily from UESTC, and its alumni founded several major Chinese electronics companies.

Histoire

UESTC was founded in 1956 in Chengdu as the Chengdu Radio Engineering Institute, formed by bringing together the electronics faculties of Jiaotong University, Nanjing Institute of Technology and South China Institute of Technology. It was one of the first national key universities for electronics.

Renamed the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 1988, it joined Project 211 (1997), Project 985 (2001) and Double First Class (2017).

UESTC runs the State Key Laboratory of Electronic Thin Films and Integrated Devices and the National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Communications, and it has a second campus in the Qingshuihe district of Chengdu.
